In my backstory, I delete the island, and a group of my second generation manages to open a way out at the last second, sparing most of the islander lives, and they all landed in different parts of Miitopia. Caleb, the Dark Lord, landed a job at an HP Banana factory and immersed himself in his work in order to cope with his stress, resulting in him neglecting his brother Nathan, who was already suffering from being ignored as per the Dark Curse's backstory, and all that layered on top of the trauma of being cast away by the one person he thought he could trust more than anybody else broke him. He becomes the Dark Curse and seeks Caleb out as his first host, seeking to make him pay for abandoning him. |
