Puppetmasters (Japanese: つよがりパペット Tsuyogari Puppet) are powerful post-game enemies and variants of the Pop-Up Puppet. They mainly appear alongside other enemies, but it's also possible to encounter two or three of them at the same time. They can also be fought alongside a "Traveler" painting in mid-leveled quests.
They are quest-exclusive and the only Puppets to be normal enemies.
Appearance[]
The Puppetmaster is a variant of the Pop-Up Puppet with a purple hat with a yellow band wrapped around up it. It also wears a dark yellow robe. There is a skeleton under the robe, as shown when defeated and when using the Puppet attack. In addition to the Mii eyes, a pair of Mii eyebrows are also attached to this monster, and are relinquished upon its defeat.

Trivia[]
- Although the Puppetmaster has a magic attack (much like all other Puppet monsters), it never actually uses it in battle, meaning that it can only be viewed in the journal. This is also the reason why its magic stat is 0.
- Puppetmasters are one of 14 non-boss enemies that can only be encountered in temporary dungeons.
