Wayward Woods

The Wayward Woods (Japanese: 迷子の森 Maigo no Mori; Lost Forest) is a thick forest located east of Greenhorne Castle. It separates the castle and the Arid Frontier, which itself serves as a transitional area between Greenhorne and Neksdor.

Two Greenhorne quests take place in this area, both related to the Royal Court, however, the king's face is here.

Stage 1[]

A path with 3 forks. Has 1-2 battles. The stage contains a golden chest, which gives either a new weapon or new clothing for a party member. The chest after the uppermost chest and middle chest contains 1 Game Ticket. The chest on the lower path contains 5 Apple Jellies. The chest in the middle contains two Mouse Treat ★s. Gives 36-136 EXP.

Stage 2[]

A path with 3 forks. Has 2 battles. The chest in the middle contains 3 Game Tickets. The chest before the inn contains 400G. The first "Night Guard" Camp scenario occurs here. Gives 111-134 EXP.

Battle 1 - Rock Moth x2, Poison Moth / Rock Moth, Poison Moth x2 (upper path)

Stage 3[]

A straight path. Has 2 battles. During the first visit, you fight the "King" Golem. The chest contains an MP Candy. Gives 150 EXP on the first visit, and 100 EXP on subsequent visits.

Stage 4[]

An upside-down T-shaped path. If the hidden path is taken via an event, no battles will occur, while going straight leads to 1 battle. Gives 58 EXP.

Battle 1 - Mars Mii Trap

Stage 5[]

A path with 2 forks. Has 2-3 battles. During the first visit, the Calming Fruit can be obtained. The chest on the upper path of the second fork contains 880G. Gives 168-284 EXP.

A path with 2 forks. Has 2-3 battles. The stage contains a golden chest, which gives either a new weapon or new clothing for a party member. The chest on the lower path contains 3 Game Tickets. The chest on the lower path of the second fork contains 2 Forest Nuts. Gives 176-272 EXP.

Trivia[]

The Wayward Woods are identical to the Strange Grove in both music and appearance, although it is much larger. In addition, when the player first arrives here, they do not get a brief introduction cinematic like many other areas in the game.
