So, whenever the Dark Lord puts facial parts on monsters, they become hostile. Most are his minions, however some were so powerful they revolted against him (as the Darker Lord) so he abandoned them in New Lumos. The point is, not all monsters were CREATED by the Dark Lord completely, such as the Rock Moths and Griffins, which are both seen in a docile state when not influenced by the Dark Lord's magic. They presumably were/are normal creatures in Miitopia before the Dark Lord attacked. Even Dominic is completely normal after you free him, and is OBVIOUSLY not one of the Dark Lord's original creations. However, in Karkaton, the Great Sage says something along the lines of "The Dark Lord makes many monsters, but those monsters are just weak creatrures. They're incomplete." and THEN mentions how he uses the faces to make up for that. This means that there are monsters the Dark Lord creates HIMSELF and THEN adds facial parts to. While not confirmed, I believe that the imps are some of the Dark Lord's original creations, given their resemblance to him and their association with dark magic, plus the fact that without facial parts have a blank slate where a face SHOULD go. I believe the same about the demons as well. Many of the others are up for debate though. Did he create the goblins? The banshees? What monsters do YOU think the Dark Lord created, and which ones he simply hijacked and turned evil?

Also your story kind of reminds me of Super Smash Bros World of Light, with the main villain capturing a whole army of characters and then you being able to recruit them across the adventure. Also, how come so many of the kids disappeared? Did you delete your island or something? ...because that's what I did.
That's really cool! It's interesting to other people's stories that they've come up with for Miitopia, especially considering the game leaves a lot to the imagination, especially after the first Dark Lord fight and DOUBLE especially during the post game. For example, Powedered Peaks, Peculia, Nimbus, even Galados Isle judging by the quests do have people living there, there's just no towns you can access, so you just have to imagine what they would be like. Example: In my story, Proffessor E. Gadd works in the Sterile Plant. He came to Miitopia to do scientific stuff because he's a scientist so he got a job there, that's why he's there to help us find the Sky Scraper jewel. I personally always imagine the characters in my story AS themselves, as in, that their Miis aren't separate characters. That's one thing I prefer about Miitopia compared to Tomodachi Life, In Tomodachi Life, the characters refer to the player as the main character's "Look-alike" and even the others sometimes comment on their look-alikes as well, but in Miitopia, the characters are always referred to as themselves, even the player and the main character are referred to interchangeably as the same being... so I usually just pretend that everyone is just them and that they're not talking about look-alikes in Tomodachi Life lol. Interestingly enough, the ending to Miitopia states that all the monsters will disappear... but they don't. My personal story is that the Darker Lord blocked off New Lumos with a dark magic seal, so once the Dark Curse became good again, the seal protected the monsters living within from the blast of light magic that hit all of Miitopia, and then vanished, leaving the monsters in New Lumos to roam free, repopulate, and wreak havoc across the land. I also came up with that this is the origin story of the Dark Lord from Streetpass Find Mii, that he was the strongest monster the Darker Lord created, so once the Dark Curse is reformed, he becomes the new leader of the monsters and learns how to steal faces himself.

I'm kind and I don't usually change my character's personalities because It makes them not feel like them in my opinion. I suppose I could have a different personality or main character but It wouldn't really feel like my story anymore.

And yes, I do agree with you about Miitopia being the best game of all time... I think... I don't know, it's really hard for me to choose between it and Tomodachi Life! I used to play Tomodachi Life with my friends, and I still have some of their original characters living on my Island to this day. I mostly play it with my little cousin now. It's absolutely amazing to see all my favorite characters interact in one huge AMALGAMATION OF AWESOMENESS THAT EMBODIES EVERYTHING I LIKE!!! You can make songs, give relationship advice, watch news stories happen, feed Waluigi a salad... etc. There's so much fun to be had! It's also very much worth mentioning that It's awesome when characters have kids. The game auto-generates a child for them which grows into a whole new character.
My adventure in Miitopia started shortly after the game came out, when I decided to play the demo. I don't know why my expectations were so low considering how much fun I had with Tomodachi Life, so it wasn't hard for the game to blow my expectations out of the water only a few minutes in! It's AWESOME!!! The game lets you import Miis directly from Tomodachi Life, and you can also go on Mii central to find brand new ones made by other people! My adventure is a continuation of my story in Tomodachi Life. Basically, how the story goes is I got an island to invite characters to live at, and then you know, that's how everyone got to know each other. It ties into my Miitopia Adventure when most of the characters living on the island decided to move to Miitopia as it's bigger and has more job opportunities. I am one of the last to arrive, I witness the birth of a rock moth, and the adventure begins. It's amazing playing Miitopia AFTER Tomodachi Life as all the characters are already acquainted with each other so it just adds more depth and makes it even more fun and interesting. To this day I play the games interchangeably like they're one big story. After everything that happened on Miitopia, the characters still live there but also spend a lot of time on the island like they used to.
That's not to say you could do the inverse. If you wanted, you could buy Tomodachi Life and have it be a continuation of YOUR Miitopia Adventure! Everyone decides to settle down on a brand new island afterwards... or something. The point is Tomodachi Life and Miitopia hold the same energy, and are my two favorite games ever because they let me be creative and have changed my interactions with fictional content forever. I now have my own huge story to tell, and many (or most) of the things I continue to create to this day are influenced by and/or linked to everything that's happened in the Mii games! I VERY MUCH recommend that you also get Tomodachi Life at some point! You'll like it if you like Miitopia.
I deleted my original Miitopia save file and am now replaying my adventure with my little cousin with a few changes I wanted to make to it that will stay for good. No regrets. My team consists of:

Yeah same lol, I usually just pick miis that i recognize or that look the most interesting to me, even if they don't fit the description. This seems like a really fun challenge! I would still like to 1-turn-kill the bosses you have already, just for fun. The only one I'm pretty sure is impossible is the first slime you fight.
I deleted my original save file so I could re-do the same adventure but with some changes. No regrets. I'm playing through it with my little cousin, so I'm only playing it on the weekends. Also, I do have a second save file downloaded (the primary is on my cartridge) and I'm doing a copy of my adventure on that one too. Basically since I can't play it during the week, I redo everything up to that point again because it's fun. (Example: My cousin and I play from the Pyramid to Citrus Cave, and then before the next weekend, I also play from the Pyramid to Citrus Cave on the other save file.) I'm basically doing everything twice.
The point is, you know that little survey that happens where you answer 2 questions about mii characters? It happens daily, and you get 3 game tickets each time you complete it. Before each weekend, I turn on the game every day of the week just to do the survey for both of my save files. So that's like 15-24 new game tickets before each time I play. It gives us a huge advantage! We can get any combination of gold, food, weapons, armor, vacations, or just plain experience.
On my second save file, once I make it to Karkaton, I'm going to wait until the roulette is mostly full of "a royal portion" of experience and grind the heck out of it. I'm going to fight the Dark Lord normally on save file 1, and then beat him in one turn on save file 2.

Cat. No contest... for me, at least.
As soon as I unlocked the cat job, my very next two teammates were Biscuit the stubborn cat and Beau the laid-back cat. They are my two cats in real life. I made their Miis look like cats (eyebrows positioned as whiskers, a mole touching the top-center of the curled mouth to make a "3" cat mouth) so giving them the cat class just fit SO naturally. Meowing, scratching, walking on all 4s, cuddling with teammates, it just makes all the sense in the world because they're ACTUALLY CATS!!!

Are you sure!? I'm serious, missing a single one is REALLY easy to do! You have to tediously buy every clothing from the catalog, try giving it to your mii to see if they already have it, and then return it if they already do, and repeat until you find what you're missing. I swear it works. It's boring, but it works. Also, you can only get the ragged clothing on the roulette. It's easy to miss that too especially considering you can only win them on the roulette, and if you haven't, they won't appear in the catalog.
Yeah I agree. I also want to mention that any monsters that already have a face in addition to their mii parts (Cobras, Twerkies, Frogs) are definitely hijacked.
But yeah, Dominic's actual eyes are concealed by the mii eyes he's given but once reverted back to normal he clearly has his own eyes. Maybe snurps have eyes behind their mii eyes? Snurps to me especially seem like they are probably wild Miitopian creatures that were caught by the Dark Lord and then turned evil.
Edit: I just realized, I don't think he made (completely) ALL monsters that have a full face because frogs already have faces and I like to think they were just normal giant frogs until the Dark Lord came along.

You may have missed as much as a single weapon or clothing. It's not hard to miss during the adventure, especially with all the big treasure chests. It's easy to skip a clothing or weapon and get a more powerful one immediately. The first time, I thought I had all the clothing and weapons, so I searched through the catalog, checking each weapon individually. Turns out I had missed the copper wand. I bought it, gave it to myself, and boom. Medal.
Also, you DO need all the different types of ragged clothing.
Every compatible amiibo!? Yikes! I love unlocking new things, but that's more money out of my pocket! Especially if it's just for clothes. I'm currently re-doing my original playthrough, with a few differences, I deleted my original save file. Before I did, I came VERY close to 100%ing the game, but there were some things about my adventure I just decided I wanted to change. And I learned that while changing the NPCs affects your saved cutscenes, you can't change your team. Whoever you chose to be on your team during the main campaign is stuck forever... unless you reset... so that's what I did. No regrets.
Anyway, THE POINT IS that I have previously gotten the fashionista medal on my first playthrough, and I didn't need the amiibo costumes to do it. Toon Link and Rosalina are on my team so their respective costumes are all I really need. While it would be cool to have all the compatible amiibo, I don't care too heavily about having them. I'm satisfied with what I have.
...but I do dream of collecting all the Smash Amiibo one day. One day...
Really? I don't mind doing it because it gives me an incentive to play the game lol. I know I'm working towards something. I still haven't reached 100% yet but I don't know what I'll do when I do.
