No they aren’t using it to heal. They are using it because it has a 100 percent activation rate. Grabbing items isn’t a bad thing by itself. But having a healer would be a million times better and way more convenient. Thief doesn’t necessarily need to be bad, it’s just not better than any other job in the game.

Still better than Flower though.

No no no, it’s not. At least flower can heal directly. Thief had to grab the snack, which won’t work sometimes. Then the personality trait needs to kick in so that it can either give the item away or have it stolen. Also, it has a move that will consistently do more damage than phantom strike. So it’s definitely better, but they aren’t too far off from each other.

Well, Flower is a OK job in my opinion. I personally think it's worse than thief, because tbh it's just like, a worse version of the Cleric. Just with more attack skills.

Thief is better in my opinion because, Rock Rain is a really good skill. Also Pilfer isn't that bad. In early game, Thief is not really a bad job.

Rock rain has a terrible multiplier, so it’s not gonna do much damage in late game. Thief has good early game, like pilfer is good in greenhorns. But other then that, it’s not good. Also being a worse version of cleric doesn’t make you worse than thief. Flower is just better, it has direct healing. It’s a healing job.

Ok, that’s all well and good. But I mean, I think it’s funny. I have debated a lot of people, when I lose. I use that exact excuse. But I mean, backing up your opinion with logic isn’t a bad thing. If you can’t do that, that’s fine. I’m just saying.

Flower, chef, tank, princess

Nah Princess is pretty good, even in Despair. It has a chance of distracting all enemies with Eau de Colgone, can restore MP, can get dragged out of the way of enemy attacks, and the Royal Wave skills are pretty good too. Even Regal Dance can be useful in the Red Fiend battle, as the Red Fiend is classed as a normal enemy rather than a boss, meaning if can be made to dance. Also I've beaten the Tower with a Chef, and even a Flower and Tank before. I did a one hour YouTube video about that. Though I'm now curious to see how all four of those jobs you listed together fare in Despair (hey, that rhymed!).

Ok I understand flower, but why isn’t thief mentioned? It is the worst job in the game. And princess is a good damage dealer with some good abilities. And tank isn’t bad, I’m not going to explain this all over again. And chef is good, what are you talking about?
