is it just me, or does the great sage have another form which is the guardian spirit? like the great sage will always be with you inside the charm. and you can only see their human form a couple of times...
then again, (spoiler alert if you haven’t beat the dark lord yet) if the dark curse possessed the great sage’s human form, part of their soul would still be in the antique charm.
